Dear Student
 
End of Semester 1 2014 examination period
 
[NB:  These dates are not applicable to MEDI Year 1 students; students should contact the School of Medicine for details of their examination schedule.]
 
All internally enrolled students are required to be available during this period to sit their examinations on campus.  Students MUST consider these dates when making travel arrangements.
 
Examinations are scheduled from:  Saturday, 14 June to Saturday, 28 June 2014 (inclusive).
 
Examination timetable is scheduled to be released: Friday, 09 May 2014 at 5:00pm.
 
Official release of results: Wednesday, 09 July 2014.
 
 
Semester 1 2014 Deferred and Supplementary examination period*
 
Examinations are scheduled from:  Wednesday, 23 July to Friday, 25 July 2014 (inclusive).
 
Examination timetable is scheduled to be released: Friday, 18 July 2014 at 5:00pm.
 
There are no provisions to conduct these examinations outside of these dates, or for further deferral of deferred or supplementary examinations.
 
Your attention is also drawn to the following information:
 
The previous provision for students to disregard their performance at the original examination on the basis of falling ill during the examination is no longer available.  Examination scripts for students who attend whole or part of the original examination will be marked / graded accordingly.

Applications for deferred examinations:  Applications are due no later than 5 calendar days after the date the original examination is held.   Medical certificates must be obtained no later than two (2) business days after the original examination.
 
Applications for supplementary assessment:  Online applications via mySI-net are due within 5 calendar days of the release of results.
* NOTE:  Internal students returning to study in Semester 2, 2014: Please note that as Semester 2, 2014 will commence on 28 July 2014, no applications for off campus examinations will be granted for first semester deferred/supplementary examinations scheduled in July.  Students should plan their return to campus prior to the dates set for deferred and supplementary examinations.
Students who are undertaking deferred or supplementary examinations will not be eligible to graduate at the  July graduation ceremonies.
