The student only has one opportunity to appeal. There is no right to appeal of an appellate decision.

Students may advise the Academic Registrar in writing at that they wish to relinquish their right to appeal and have their penalty imposed immediately. They should include their reason for making the request.

The Ombudsman would normally focus on issues of procedural compliance or fairness in the decision making process rather than matters concerning academic judgement. For this reason, it is very important to ensure that all cases of academic misconduct are managed in accordance with procedures and timescales outlined in the Student Integrity and Misconduct policy.
